Frequently asked questions
Does AppSheet Toolkit send my AppSheet configuration anywhere?
No. AppSheet configuration and analysis results are processed locally in your browser and are not transmitted to the developer or third-party servers.
Where are exported files saved?
Files are saved according to your browser's normal download settings.
Can I export only selected components?
Yes. Select the Tables and other supported components you need, or use Complete App Snapshot when you want the full supported application structure in one JSON file.
Can I export JSON and CSV together?
Yes for regular component exports. Complete App Snapshot is generated as one structured JSON file.
Can I export Slices, Views, Actions, and Automation Bots?
Yes. v1.9.1 supports Tables and Columns, Slices, Views, Actions, and Automation Bots, including supported Events, Processes, and Tasks.
What is Complete App Snapshot?
It captures supported Tables, Columns, Slices, Views, Actions, and Automation configuration in one structured JSON file. The snapshot is also the input for Snapshot Comparison, App Intelligence, App Health, and Technical Documentation.
Are all view settings captured?
Most view settings are captured in full. A few list-style settings such as sort order, grouping, and column order may come back empty for some view types. These are left blank rather than guessed at, so you can spot them.
What happens if I cancel an extraction?
No files are written. Exports are only generated once a full run finishes, so a cancelled run never leaves a partial file behind.
What is available under Analyze?
Snapshot Comparison, App Intelligence, App Health, and Technical Documentation. These tools work from Complete App Snapshot files and process the analysis locally in your browser.
